Pros

This 12 inch white grab bar has a nice textured grip for added safety and security. The middle of this bar has texture to it, so that your hand does not slide on the bar.

Appearance aesthetically nice. Unit is as advertised. Overall very pleased.

Installation is relatively simple, but requires drilling (as expected). Easy install and the paint seems to hold up well. If you have the drill bits for ceramic tile, or are mounting it on drywall, installation is very simple.

Size is great (16), not too big and bulky. Has been a game-changer in keeping balance getting in and out of the bathtub. Comes with recommended positioning for shower stalls, tubs, and toilet locations.

Cons

Do not attach the screw plate to the bar with any screw hole obstructed bythe bar. There is no lock washer for the bolts. Not ada compliant ada states.

No matter how often i clean the grab bar, it leaves a metallic odor on your hands. The gauge of the metal is much thinner than other grab bars i have used.
