Pros

Filter prevents scents, smells, and allergens from circulating too long inside the house. After installing the filters there was an immediate reduction in dust accumulation and pet odors are gone. Great safe haven from seasonal allergies.

Cons

Filter element is made of some rather light and porous fleece. Carbon is a thin flat sheet of black foam spread across the back of the filter. The merv rating of nordic pure merv14 with carbon is not credible.

Filters are not replacements for honeywell 16x25x5. They are approximately 1/8 inch narrower than 16 inches wide and do not fit properly in my lennox unit. This filter, aside from not having foam edges for sealing, is about 3/4” too long. Mush smaller... Read More

Great filtration with decent amount of airflow.

The carbon adds the extra efficiency of removing odors when cooking.

The last one was in 6 months and was thick with dirt, particles, etc.

I have been purchasing these filters for several years now and i am so much happier with them than the filters i used previously.

I find these to be a great value.

This size is hard to find at box stores so i ordered them from amazon and they were less expensive

Competitiveness

We’ve seen a dramatic increase in air flow and we all know that merv12 filters are far better than merv8s!

This filter fit easily into lennox furnace and has a better rating than the original honeywell one.

Also, these do not have foam strips to provide a good, airtight seal, unlike name-brand filters.

Filter seems sturdier than others in the same price range.
