The rubber that in inside the clamp seems like it will last and doesnt have any give and helps with keeping the vibrations away from the phone

I have seen other mounts that try to do what this one does but they seemed cheap and like they would break when you try and tighten down on them

You cant really find a cheap one in the local stores around here that are less than 20 and like i said before they seem like they would break if you have to tighten down on them

This phone bike mount worked well for us because it has an arm that sticks out from the handlebar allowing us to mount our phone so its above the ipad and visible

The second adjustment knob needs to be tightened down a lot to prevent the phone from shifting

I can rest it on the corner edges secure it with the band but wouldnt feel comfortable doing this on a moving bike
