Pros

Great value for money compared to the intel i350-t2 or i 350-t4. Has the intel chipset which was what i was going for. Great compatibility due to theintel chipset. Just plugged it in - my computer booted and was ready to go.

This card works fantastically with pfsense. They are been used with openmediavault nas and pfsense firewall. This nic is good for freebsd 11.

The throughput of the card is far better with sustained transfers across my lan than the motherboard's integrated realtek network interface. The card was recognized right out of the box on both oss. I've had no issues with the card, it works great! Th...  Read More

Quality

Really nice, does the job well on ubuntu without any driver installation needed

Work great with truenas scale, no drive issues

I can now copy files over 1 mb over my network to my nas, and streaming has no hitches at all!

I plugged it in yesterday and the bios immediately detected the card and the intel ports!

Price

I was skeptical about this, but figured i'd just throw it away with the low price.

This card cost $10 more than the cheap one, but it was worth every penny.

As a nic it is fine, adding more than 1 virtual it seemed over taxed.

Shipping

The card arrived quickly and was well packaged.

Props to the vendor and amazon who delivered the card a day early!

I haven't noticed a single lag spike or dropped connection in the week since i received it and have been using it to bypass a f...  Read More

Packaging/appearance

The quality looks good, and it was well packaged.

Also, for reference, the box i received is labeled:10gtek 82574-ge-1t-x11.

It has the intel 82574l chipset as promised that is on the vmware hcl and i even inspected it for that chip when it got here, e...  Read More

Competitiveness

I bought a older mb but still lights out better than before- a asrock b550 pro4.

We've had no failures and the operate identically to the intel originals.

I read the reviews indicating compatibility with proxmox and i can attest that it works well in my 7.

We've been using these cards instead of the intel version because they use the same chipset and are so much less expensive.

I bought the minipcie card with leds

The only issue is that the 10gtek web site has no manuals

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

While there are white triangles showing pin 1 theyre tiny and they only show pin 1 for the data cable not the led cable

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Luckily the four pin led cable had the same orientation although you need to be aware that pin 1 of the data cable is right next to the led cable pins on the ethernet card theres a gap between the two making it clearer on the rj45 board

Not a technical review but my experience from being a sudotech

I have a truenas only to host content for plex

If plex wasn’t a thing i would never have built two machines over the last seven years

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The first one was dated two years ago easily so i had to upgrade
