Charges well with a compatible case on the phone. Charges my iphone x easily through the case standing up, standing horizontally and lying flat. I have no issues with a case on my samsung s7 edge and it charges fast as advertised.

The blue light is very eye catching. My phone charges even with the case on and the blue light helps by showing when the phone is charging.
