The durable carbon steel construction and black nickel coating provide confidence in various towing conditions. Some customers have used it for medium duty loads and find it functional and heavy.

Build Quality
Customers are overwhelmingly positive about the build quality of the trailer ball hitch, praising its sturdiness, durability, and marine-grade materials which have prevented rust or wear even when towing boats in damp or salty conditions. The smooth threads and easy installation add to its appeal as a reliable and dependable option for heavy-duty use.

However, a few users mention that it may be too short for larger trailers or boats, requiring the purchase of a larger size.
Highlights
Quality
Free of metal defects, smooth finish, and the nut screws on easily and tightly.
It feels very well made, solid with some heft.
It resists scratches/gouges well, and will even cause my set of metal-files to glide right off of it.
Regarding quality, this ball is solid all the way through, the shaft is part of the ball.
Price
For a little under $16 this is a nice ball with a snug fitting flexible plastic cover to keep the pretty finish protected.
I'm pretty surprised at this hitch ball and the mounting hardware for the price.
It is priced right with some hitches going up to 10,000 pounds.
You can see it and feel it for $16.
Shipping
It was quick to install and fit great.
Packaging/appearance
I also love that it comes with the protective cover which is also good looking, not some eye-sore color.
I was surprised when it arrived as it was black, and it looks like it’s supposed to be silver in the first image.
It comes packaged poorly but you're not going to hurt a hitch ball.
Competitiveness
Seems just as good as what you can get at the auto parts stores.
This came up on vine and the timing couldn't be better because i needed to use the trailer the next week.
But if this ball is as good as their other products, i'm sure it's 5 star.
It's the same price as the local discount tool store's option, but this one is much nicer.

The finish is unique a textured matte finish instead of standard chrome

This would also work well for boats and small trailers pulled behind vehicles equipped with a 114” hitch

But also i think this ball will resist corrosion better than the chrome ones not only because of the finish but it is stated to be marine grade

I tend to stay away from trailer balls which have the bolt that screws up into the ball itself

I think that creates a weak point and i just feel that type of ball wont hold up quite as well as a solid ball such as this one is
