Pros
Compact and power make these a must for any outdoorsman. If you are trying to stay in touch with others when there’s cell outages, this is for you. Also used inside caves for 2-way comm.
This review is for the novice radio buyer, such as myself. These radios are packed with features and are very programable. Get the chirp software and use it with repeaterbook to configure these radios for all your local ham stations.
Cons
They are not waterproof as stated.
One produces spurious emissions exceeding fcc limits. The other one has 2 * that do not work and the battery doesn't charge. When placed on the charger it just flashes constantly.

Easy to program and good sound quality.
The battery life is amazing, the radio feel as quality as a piece of plastic can get.
The battery life last about two weeks with minimal use.
I used gmrs walkies in years previous and these blew them out of the water.
Price
Good value for a radio with a lot of posibilities.
For a cheap radio, these things are great.
For the value you are getting very next level stuff.
They have a lot of value for the price.

These were excellent compared to gmrs radios in canada.
These two ways are very similar, baofeng and tidradio although i seem to get slightly better range with the tidradios.

You have to go snag the chirp program off the web then download an image of the radio the chirp program contains a list of them then program in the 22 or whatever you want standard gmrs frequencies

I do like all the accessories but the downloading cable is the most important
