This is so much easier than raising a heavy watering can above my head or lifting off the whole planter and trying to catch it on the ceiling hook.
It allows me to pull down the bird feeder to refill it. They work perfectly on our deck for our hanging plants. There seems to be a bit of a learning curve in placing your plant.
This is a 4 pack, which is great. Fantastic little gadgets and highly recommended. Impressed with the pulley system. Simple but amazing.
The hangers are made of a sturdy black plastic and metal. They hold a fairly heavy pot. Made sturdy. Using for large, heavy flower baskets.
Cons
It says it holds up to 20 lbs. Their is no stopping or catching when you pull on the pully system. Would not even begin to hold up my ferns.

I ordered the set of four pulleys as part of a plan i had to make a hanger for bird feeders that would be out of reach of bears

Unfortunately after getting these pulleys i learned that the bottoms of the feeders would have to be at least 10 feet up to keep them out of reach of adult black bears

Since these pulleys only extend about 35 inches even if we used a pole to hook the feeders and pull them down they would still be too high to refill

In addition since the pulleys also do not lock in place which i didn’t know when i ordered them it would have been difficult to hold the feeders down while trying to refill them anyway

Even though they didn’t work for my purpose i think the pulleys could still work well for hanging plants or feeders from hooks that are placed at average ceiling height

It is important to know as noted above that the pulleys do not lock in place so you’ll need to hold the plant or feeder down with one hand while watering or refilling with the other
