Pros & Cons
Pros
The 58mm to 49mm adapter allows you to use a variety of lenses. It threads smoothly onto my 52mm threaded camera lens and the 58mm side smoothly accepts the macro lens. All 58mm, every single one of 'em.
It appears solidly built and i'm very satisfied with my purchase. The workmanship is decent and they offer great value for the money. Numbers are painted on, not embossed, but easy to read.
Way easier than fussing with a square mount holder. The threads on these step up rings attach and detach smoothly and easily.
Cons
There is no ribs on this adapter so it is hard to grip to remove.
Highlights
Quality
Robust metal construction and they function perfectly!
Well machined and solid step up rings.
Barely made a dent, especially considering i’d spent more on that gimmicky lens cleaner last month.
I bought solar film, cut it to fit, and glued the filter material using rubber cement.

It arrived very quickly and i was able to get good eclipse photos with the filter i had!
Packaging/appearance
Product was packaged well and fit as described.
My smallrig matte box did not come with a 58mm adapter.
Competitiveness
They are as good as the expensive filters i have.
It's a step up ring, it's not like the more expensive competitors have more features.
I sold my rb67 gear where all the lenses had 77mm filter sizes and switched to an m645 system, which had different filter sizes.
I need to share an expensive solar filter between lenses with 67mm and 72mm filter rings.
