Highlights
Quality
Sturdy, works well enough for light to medium weight projects without the blade retracting.
The sharpness and the ease of usage is great
Power tools just do not work for this project.
I've tried them all, the folding fancy ones that you squeeze, and the blade comes out.
Price
Rattles a bit but for the price, who cares!
Hard to find dependable item at a reasonable price.
Packaging/appearance
Best of all, the knives came in a plastic bag that was easy to open without the theft proof rigid plastic packaging that is a pita to open.
Before i would cut the packing tape and shove the box in the recycling bin as i could.
Competitiveness
None of them are compared to this simple design.
I did not find that installing the blade was any more difficult than it was with stanley utility knives that i bought 30+ years ago.
After trying the other cheaper cutters, we went back to stanley.
