Pros & Cons

Pros

This little beast is fantastic. Easy to one hand, very portable. This is my first mig machine and it makes the process effortless.

Four hangers, each 20' long with ladder cross pieces and 1/8 hangers. No blow-throughs and good weld appearance. I use them for outdoor welding with flux cored wire.

Only thing i really don't like, however, is the cheezy ground clamp, but most welders these days have the same type. Another upgrade over the old cyclone is the ability to change polarity with quick release cables on the outside front.

This is a very affordable entry into the 110v mig marketplace. Overall fit and finish is excellent, with everything fitting and working right out of the box.

Cons

When you release the trigger, the gases keep flowing for about 5 seconds. What is the purpose of a warranty if the company won’t even honor the simplest items.

Quality

Bought mine about a year ago still running strong, a piece on the mig gun stripped out and still they sent out another gun awes...  Read More

Several issues with the old model were addressed with the new digital model.

In hindsight it may just be easier to replace it with the accessory cable they have on line 10' for $35.

I get it, this is a base unit but never give customers a reason not to like your product.

Price

The infinite adjustability on both wire feed speed and voltage for this cost is unheard of and you can really dial this thing in.

Packaging/appearance

Overall fit and finish is excellent, with everything fitting and working right out of the box.

I removed the 75/25 argon/co2 bottle and hooked it up to the everlast.

Competitiveness

Got this to replace 1970's 120vac craftsman welder that finally gave it up.

Workign within it's abilities, though, it's an absolute champ that does what it says it should!

It's a 110v mig, so expecting to do heavy production work just isn't realistic.

Other than that it is wonderful for a 110v machine.
