Cons
The included hardware has a washer that's too small and instead of stacking up it disappears down inside the jack. The final straw is that these posts are not drilled to accept a wire, they are for banana only. These are inexpensive parts and do not f... Read More

I wanted to mount the breadboards to a 11634 sheet of aluminum to act as a ground plane then mount the sheet to a piece of 3434 plywood to make a sturdy setup

For one these are insulated but not like some of the others that used a threaded plastic body with a nut tightening down on plastic threads
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
These here used a plastic bushing to insulate the inner metal part from the metal aluminum sheet and the nuts that hold them in place are threaded onto the metal shaft rather than onto plastic threads
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I really reefed down on the nuts to keep the posts from spinning and none of them broke and i am used to reefing down hard and breaking things off that way

As for the hole in the post to insert a wire and tighten down on it with the knurled knob a few minutes with a dremel drill press and a small drill bit took care of the ten posts i was using on this project

Now they are true 5way binding posts with the hole drilled

Two of the photos show where i drilled the holes

If you do this be sure to drill right up tight against the flared base of the post or you wont have enough threads engaged to hold a wire in
