Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The downside of it is that it is heavy. Cable is sturdy, lights up at the end to indicate that it’s powered on. Seems plenty durable enough for just about any job.

It’s working great for my hot tub. Works as should. Just as advertised. Since i switched to this cord, all is well.

The 10 gauge cord easily handles 15 amp service. It can handle a 1600 watt psu easily. Basically the same gauge as a 30amp rv extension but with regular ends.

Tesla model 3 can be charged using an extension cord. The cord can also be used to charge a space heater. It is safe to use the cord to charge an ev.

Iron forge cable 50 foot lighted outdoor extension cord. Need at least 10 gauge wire or cord. I like the lighted ends so you know the cord is still plugged in. Heavy gage wire.

Cons

The actual end connectors are junk. Had to cut the connector off and fit a good quality one rated at 15 amps. Not very good quality.

Quality

This extension cord is sturdy and well made.

Good quality extension cord, and with the lighted end i know it has power at a quick glance.

The ground prong on the previous cord (same exact cord as this one) broke off after about a year of use.

- does not heat up like a regular cable, and has tons of length to run across the entire garage.

Price

Works well as designed and reasonably priced.

Just a bit on the expensive side.

Pricing was about 1/2 of the big box stores near me and few had this gauge cable.

Shipping

This cord arrived really fast and is exactly what i needed.

Packaging/appearance

This cord arrived well bundled and looks very sturdy.

Competitiveness

It was a much better alternative than using an electrical extension cord.

Bought this to replace a 10 gauge yellow jacket cord and this is holding up just as good if not better than the namebrand one .
