Pros & Cons
Pros
It comes with drywall anchors if you need to mount it to the drywall. There were a few discrepancies in the installation instructions. Easy fix. Needless to say this unit was (is) the perfect solution.
The rail looks nice, is the right length and accomplishes the safety i need. The rail itself is very sturdy and love the matte finish. Seems sturdy enough mounted this way.
Cons
The welded nuts are not welded squarely with the ends of the tube. When you tighten the bolts, it causes a twist in the base plate. The screws simply are not strong enough to keep it from moving, particularly in my case where it is misaligned.

Screwed bar to mounting plate which bent when tightened such as it wouldn't lay flat on the wall.
Screws striped out and went and bought better ones.

Loosened the screws slightly and it then was flat again which is fine unless the grab bar loosens up

Screws with it are a bit short by 12 inch in my estimation so i used a couple but a longer one on the side going into the 2x4 in the wall by the door

The screws on the other side would just be going into drywall since it is 3 inches across the plate and the 2x4 is 2 inches so i drilled the pilot holes at an angle and used 3 inch screws to go into the 2x4

Otherwise drywall anchors would have to be used and they would probably pull out eventually
