They dont really do anything else for the solar

The shortcircuit current of the solar panel is about the same as the max mppt current so you its not really possible to choose a breaker that is going to be of any use for fault protection

I used 2x 2pole breakers for 2 arrays so since theyre 2pole they disconnect both legs of the solar array

If i had it to do again id go looking for single pole version

Yeah you can plug them to your mc4 connectors but thats not the same as them being connected to the charger
