It was delivered as promised and packaged nicely. The plug-n-play makes it as easy as 1, 2, 3. In a nutshell, it's a. Nutshell device that does exactly what it's supposed to do.
Usb floppy disc reader reads, writes, and formats perfectly. Far more economical than trying to resurrect an old computer with unsupported os. Two foot cord is on the short side for use with a desktop pc.

The drives fail to recognize that there has been a disk swap - resulting in the os obsessing about trying to recognize the diskette in the drive. While it does effectively'read' floppy disks, it contains no drivers, firmware, or software to translate ... Read More
The disk media is not recognized. It may not be formatted. Got errormsg. Complete garbage. Even if i humor the error message and format the disk i get a new error that reads windows was unable to complete the format.

The build quality is good and seems to be a nice item that i am going to able to travel with.
Simple, easy install on windows pc, was able to read 25 year old disks from an old word processor
The disk reader read all but 5 disks, it said they were un-readable.
This disk reader works unless you have a proprietary software file format.
Price
Completely worth the $22 for this little reader.
I love the fact i can get this at a reasonable price.
After all was said and done, for a grand total of less than $40 and a few hours of image clean-up i recovered ~500 photos from 1996.
