After less than 2 months, it's not even usable. It's unusable as designed. Same as the recent reviewers.

It didn't matter which headphones i used -- the problem is the cable extender. Using the extension cable, no mic in preference. But sometimes the mic do shows up inpreference, but still no mic.

Video clearly shows plugging a trrs audio plug into the female end of this cable. My guess is, the cable is inadequately shielded. It is the wrong size plug in.
