Pros & Cons
Pros
These locking pin backs are a game-changer for my enamel pin collection. We no longer have to weepy about losing one of the pins which each commemorates a meet and accomplishment. No more worrying about losing precious pins.
Highlights
Quality
I love how they keep my pins securely in place, preventing them from getting accidentally ripped off clothing.
They seem to be of good quality and “lock” strongly.
I have now had the new backs on this particular pin for several weeks and they have not even loosened, let alone fallen off.
These are not designed to be taken apart or separated.
Packaging/appearance
Getting to display them somewhere besides, only on a banner, in the house.
Competitiveness
These backers are far superior to their predecessors.

These are almost as secure but can be removed while out and about

Thayre a little bulkier as the mechanism for locking and unlocking takes up more room than the inner workings of a standard pin back or my allen wrench backs but not problematically so unless youre mounting several to a very small area

Removing them may require a little assistance to pull the parts of the mechanism apart but that assistance can be as simple as shoving the edge of a credit card or id in there so im not inclined to downgrade my rating over that
