Pros & Cons
Pros
Perfect prints on all occasions. No problem with bridging.
No bubbles, no layer adhesion issues, very little stringing. Worked great, with no warping or other defects.
Only struggle i have had is with bridging but that's a petg/wide nozzle problem. Reheat the bed to remove if its stuck. Also the bed temp as 85c.
The translucency gives a depth to the nice blue. It has a different feel and a higher sheen than pla. The color of fresca, sort of milky but clear sometimes.
Cons
Overture filaments disappoint me every time. It looks like something in overtures formula was changed when they switched to the cardboard spools. Not putting a brand new spool in the oven to dry it.
No matter what nozzle, bed temp, z offset for abl. Nozzle just keeps on going thinking it is printing. They curl and fail to adhere like crazy regardless of the nozzle temp and fan speed. They break apart more like pla at these temps which pretty much... Read More
Fan 30%+ gets ok detail, but matte finish and poor strength. I haven't even been able to use it for what i bought it for, and had to scrounge up a mix of leftovers in various colors. The quality is always very spotty.
Highlights
Quality
I am quite satisfied with the performance.
I like the quality and printability of this filament.
I've been printing with overture filament for about a year now and have been pleased with the ease of use, quality, and results... Read More
I never have an issue with the spool winding or anything.
Packaging/appearance
First print with petg was a simple cable clip to organize cables on an ikea shelf.
Tried this as hatchbox was listing their black and white petg as not available.
I've switched to overture completely for both the packaging and print quality.
I found that even right out of the package this filament showed that it was very wet.
Competitiveness
Printed smoothly, very little stringing, great adhesion even compared to other petg brands i've tried.
This is one of the best petg filaments i've ever used.
This filament works well after i figured out that i needed to store it in a drybox with dessicant to get the humidity down to 10%.
It doesn't seem to stretch as much as hatchbox.
