Pros & Cons

Pros

This stuff is a lot hotter, it starts at 260c, and i found it worked best at around 240-245c with 245 sticking the best. Makes adhesion more fool proof, but spends some more filament in the process. Bough the white petg.

Cons

Fan 30%+ gets ok detail, but matte finish and poor strength. I suppose i could give overture a benefit of the doubt in just assume i got a bad role, or maybe it's just because it's white maybe there's an issue with the white petg.

The only way i can get this filament to stick even halfway decently is to lower the print speed to 8mm/s. They curl and fail to adhere like crazy regardless of the nozzle temp and fan speed.

It's also terrible at overhangs. Parts come out flimsy and have a feel similar to cardboard. The items are brittle, and snap apart with very little effort.

Quality

Loved the quality and color (gold), but my spool was 61 grams short of a kilogram.

I am quite satisfied with the performance.

It's a great quality filament, and after playing around with the print settings the first layer adhesion was great and the over...  Read More

Packaging/appearance

First print with petg was a simple cable clip to organize cables on an ikea shelf.

I've switched to overture completely for both the packaging and print quality.

I found that even right out of the package this filament showed that it was very wet.

Competitiveness

Printed smoothly, very little stringing, great adhesion even compared to other petg brands i've tried.

I have a prusa mk3 with a smooth pei bed.

This filament works well after i figured out that i needed to store it in a drybox with dessicant to get the humidity down to 10%.

I got an all-metal hotend and had lots of clogs.

I increased the gap for supports to help with removal and temp i did 240 first layer and brim and then backed it down to 235ish for layers after that50perc fan after 5layers bed was 85c and printed inside a enclosure

The issue is the spool is non standard and does not have a smooth tube in the center

This means it will not roll properly on most ball barring spool feeders

I was able to retrofit my spool holder with a paint roller to make it work but rather annoying
