It is only stitched along that very edge and the velcro flap can settle up into the inside of that ridge and not engage with the felt.
Cons -* insufficient velcro - less velcro and less sturdy velcro is actually leading to more wiggle and therefore more fibers.
Price
Price wise i think the liner is a bit expensive but personally i think it is well worth the money.
This cannot go unsaid that other companies roll or fold the mats in bad ways to save on shipping costs.
Shipping
Of note i was first shipped something totally wrong that wasn’t the correct product.
Packaging/appearance
Got these mats for my 7-seater, easy to install as they were not folded up in the shipping box.
Competitiveness
I think it is very likely that i would pay the extra money to go with this brand's mats once it is time to be replaced.

There was a small mat included that didn’t really fit anywhere in the third row so it’s just on the shelf in the garage

Most of the issues i have are solvable with slight modifications adding some adhesive velcro removing the elastic loops cutting an opening for the sub trunk handle

There really needs to be fixture points at both sides of the sections seat backs and rear trunk panel this can be corrected by adding more adhesive velcro which i intend to do at several points

The pivot housing cannot be covered sure but i would have liked the material to cover all the felt and have a lip to keep debris and liquid from going into the most sensitive areas

Unsure if this was intended to be cut or not but i could do it with some sharp shears
