The backing of the item is a velcro-like material so it sticks to the carpet. It is very difficult to reposition the mat. It feels flimsy overall.

I finally purchased a new vehicle and after two weeks of owning i noticed there was mud smudges on the footrest of the oem carpet mats.
The only thing is the driver’s mat don’t fit over the original mat because of the lock.
So far it hasn't been a safety issue while driving and i guess it protects more area.

I wanted something easy to clean and that would allow me to go places like the beach and not have to worry about ground in gunk and sand but i couldnt decide on oem weather mats or one of the expensive off market brands

Well im glad i settled on this mat because this can be a good year round option which is easy to clean but looks decent like a factory rug without the rugged look of rubber

I was a little worried at first because these actually are bigger on the drivers side and go up under the brake pedal
