Pros & Cons
Pros
The tri-color is nice turning the model shows a different color shifting one to another. This color combo seems like it requires a bit of a bump to the extrusion multiplier, as i had very slight under extrusion around some openings. The spool is wound... Read More
Prusa i3 mk3+ has zero problems running this filament through my elegoo 3d printer.
This filament is an excellent choice for those looking to add a silk-like sheen to their 3d prints and experiment with multicolor designs. The filament's silk texture not only gives the final product a gorgeous sheen but also ensures that it feeds smo... Read More
Almost every roll of filament i get comes vacuum-packed in plastic with desiccant to keep out moisture. Well packaged, and perfectly wound as advertised. Recyclable cardboard spool.
Cons
It's possible i received a dud. Advertising it as a 1 kg spool is a blatant lie. The listing would be more accurate if it described this spool of filament as an 800g spool.
Print temp is listed as 190-230. Also, it clogged up a couple nozzles multiple times. This filament produces a lot of stringing, even after trying to adjust the retraction speed as well as the nozzle temperature to every possible temperature within th... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Adhesion is good, and the quality and color of printed parts turns out amazing.
Have been printing for a couple hours now and am impressed with the results!
Every print failed with the nozzle becoming clogged.
I still find it a little too low quality to use on a regular basis, but i chock that up to having an old printer not necessaril... Read More
Price
It's a small spool and price wise it's not terrible.
Packaging/appearance
You really are up to the rng of how your extruder pushes the filament into the hotend as to how your print will appear.
Was looking for filament that changed color all throughout the print.
The only down side is that there isn't really a way to keep the colors fed into the hotend in the same position every time.
Take some regular pla and start running it through the hotend.
Competitiveness
I used my standard settings for a silk pla with a 225°c hotend, a 60°c bed for the first layer, and a 50°c bed for all other layers.
I printed it at 300mm/s using creality print, but i think i need to create a profile in orcaslicer, prusaslicer, and/or supersl... Read More
