Gently lay it against foam that you want to prevent from tearing or even foam that is starting to show the first signs of breaking down do not compress the foam or you will make the weapon hit harder and it will become a soft and squishy 34skin34 on the surface of the foam that will protect it without reducing its ability to flex and cushion too much
