It claims that the suspension can be adjusted to settle the hat itself closer to the skull but this is not true

Changing the adjustment points only changes where the suspension band fits around ones skull

The crossed webbing is fixed to the suspension keys which are fixed to the hat so the hat remains at the same distance from the top of the skull
