The headlights on my 2006 expedition looked like an old flashlight with bad batteries.
I taped the buffer and adapter together around their circumferences after it came apart several times.
Price
If your time is not of value and you are a doit your-selfer, by all means try it out.
I can get the headlights refinished at my local car wash for $20 each and it lasts a while.

You will absolutely be able to see the progress you made (or didn't) by comparison.
I have used these and similar kits for a 2004 acura rl, 2009 acura mdx, 2005 bmw x5, and 2014 bmw 328ix.
You will want the uv coating wipes that they sell, and also more high grit pads to get you where you want to go.
They include more sanding and trizact disks for the price than any other kit.

This item does an ok job but so many steps to complete and a bit on the expensive side when you consider the price of the product plus the time involved with doing it yourself

There is a catch some headlamps are easier than others

Softer lenses tend to use fewer disks and provide the best shine when finished but they do not hold up as well to uv or road debris

It’s harder to tell when a trizact disk is at its end so i try to make 5 full passes over the lens
