I keep both 33 and 88 on-hand so i have both the thin and super flexible as well as the thicker and more puncture-resistant tapes to use.
Price
Quality worth the price over the cheep tapes out there.
Yes, i've tried cheaper imitations but sorely disappointed.
If you need to tape, this is the best price going
Definitely more expensive than generic electrical tape, but very much worth it.

A small tip if you ever plan to disconnect the splice you are sealing start by putting a few wraps of super 88 on first then seal it up with 3m rubber tape then put the final layer of super 88 on top of it all

If you ever buy super 88 then you know its a little higher in price but it is a quality product and doesnt seem to suffer from the adhesive coming unbonded and sticking to the top side of the tape rather than on the bottom where it belongs
