The only gripe i have is the remote control units face in dark blue with grey text. If one does these things, i guarantee you will overcome the 'hurdle' of not being able to fully understand how to operate.
Cons
Manual is the worst i have ever seen. Nothing works other then fm and am radio. Can't change from mono to stereo. Not compatible with my lg 4k tv.

You also cannot program the tracks of the one cd you are playing on this unit and if that is not a problem with you well and good

And if youre 4025 years of ageor younger all of what im saying might not mean much to you unless for some reason you also like us old schoolersim in my 60s now happen to be into recordsvinyl is what they call all such nowadaysand compact discs or cdslastlythe unit does feature jacks for mp3 and ipod deviceseven an antenna for listening to podcastsi must admit even i still dont know how to find a podcast station or broadcastnever tuned in to any such but hope to do so one day in the futurebut if youre into these new technologies but still with a head for the old schooli

In other words you cant get this unit to stop on its own by simply pressing the stop button it will pause when stop is pressed and then resume playing wherever the cd was last playing before you pressed stop

I guess the folks at pyle decided thisnot stopping like it shouldwould be the tradeoff for having an otherwise great playing unitespecially for the price of this unitpd 1000 but it is frustrating to the point that i am forced to get another cd player that will better suit my needsdont get me wrong im not getting rid of this onepyleeither i just didnt expect there would be these hurdles to clear in learning how to properly useoperate this unit

Other than that my original comments from abovedated 52521still stand just thought that anyone who is interested in buying this unit should be aware of its detractionsand there are definitely some detractions in the pyle pd 1000 amplifier in spite of these faultsdetractions it is in my opinion a unit that is still worth havingnow only if pyle would work the bugs out of this unit with respect to its faulty features
