These are cast metal with a decent looking brushed steel finish. Transformed my old tired hob.

Cons
They fit but there's nothing built into them to enable me to push them in to use the automatic gas ignition on my zanussi hob.

The original knobs we had were plastic and melted on the first day of use

This means that when the gas is turned to the off position the knob always looks like it is on full gas 9 oclock

The original knobs were plastic and split after a few year use

The plastic knobs supplied by hotpoint were too loose so i could never consistently set the oven to a particular temperature
