Pros & Cons
Cons
The perishable items are supposed to have a shelf life of 5 years, yet they all have an expiry of 2. Don't recommend. The total calorie count provided is 3,180, barely enough for one person for 3 days.
Highlights
Quality
It looks sturdy, well thought out, and makes me feel secure.
The fire starter was very good and had no problems lighting right up.
The next day i ordered this go bag because that simple power outage made me realize how ill-prepared i was for anything to go wrong!
Good straps and supportive chest and waist straps.
Price
Overall though, i'm happy with the purchase, especially for the "used" price i got it for.
I think it was less expensive than buying all the included components separately, but i'm not really sure.
Shipping
My kit was missing the whistles and they shipped them out to me when i contacted them about it.
This pack should get you by for 3 or 4 days just fine.
Packaging/appearance
It would be easy to pack it in and pack it out with little noticethe included meals are crowd favorites.
Competitiveness
Another difference from the old version: it had mountain house meals.
