Pros
This very simply and inexpensively expands your usb ports. Very economical choice to add usb 3 and card reader to newer laptops. Works fine for connecting peripherals such as mouse, keyboard, microphone, etc.
Cons
Kind of cheap garbage. The entrance of the sd is not good at all. Wouldn't support my hard drive and takes a long time to exchange data between devices.

This unit works and is light weight and convenient but its inconsistent and you should not plug in critical usb devices as connection will be weak and drop occasionally

Sensitive data transfers like hard drives etc i would not use but devices that can tolerate signal fluctuation is fine like a mouse and keyboard etc

But my child who thought it was purchased for him tried it out and discovered a second use for it via his usb gaming controller that actually works in conjunction wnintendo switch
