The materials of the shovel feel sturdy, although the connectors could use some work. The shovel itself is a nice shade of blue and made of a coated metal. The blade works best on light- to medium-weight snow.

The shovel is designed to quickly clear small areas--think in terms of digging a car out of a parking spot after an overnight storm. I strongly suspect it would work just as well in sand and (somewhat) mud.

The fit is very loose with way too much slop. The metal where it attaches to the shaft is very thin. I think it is inexcusable that production management, quality inspectors or workers care so little.
