The felt nib is short and firm while the brush is longer and has a small amount of flex though not as much as say a tombow or othes as its a fiber shape and not an actual brush

I also attempted wet on nib and got some fun effects with no noticeable water absorption by the nib

But if youre able to use water in your book you can likely get over this issue by the use of a blending palette and water brush
