Plastic is more brittle than bendy/flexible. Melted and bent in the dishwasher. They melted and got deformed after one wash.

They have beautiful bright jewel tones lots of variety in the colors you get though they arent evenly distributed in the package

Regular straws just dont work for thatand they add to the landfill
