The shape allows it to be on the bow, but doesn't interfere with the hair on the strings. The box is just plain white and they are loose, which doesn't at all bother me. They came in the time frame they were promised.

I’m not sure how well they would do on wine steps the diameter of the hole seems slightly small

Ive seen others and was concerned about how washable they might be

Maybe even stick them in a washing bag dishwashing box and toss them in the top rack of the dishwasher
