Pros
Reviewer says he is very pleased with the quality of the device. Takes the leap to 5. To fit his gaming niche.
It conforms to the hdcp 2. K 120hz hdmi 2. Standard. It converts it to optical s/pdif or high-quality 3. Mm audio. It has a new and faster dsp built into it.
Cons
No matter which amp or the combination input on the dip switch, only 2. It only feeds stereo audio to the soundbar. Downside is it limits the video to 4k hdr, 60hz only.

Whilst it claims full hdr support for edid, it doesn't support hlg (as used for hdr by sky q).

Now that the ps5 vrr update is out, i set my pins to on off off off off.
Competitiveness
I tried different edid combinations and chose the best one for each input.
I have the device set up to connect to a dedicated dac via the optical spdif output.
As of june 2022 the ps5 youtube only appears to support 2 channels.
I also have a 60fps 1080p non-hdr display, so i can't comment on hdr or >60fps performance.

Doesnt support dolby atmos but that is due to optical out not supporting atmos

In the box are just the audio extractor box and power supply as expected there are no hdmi cables included
