The trigger goes after a month. The gears are pretty brittle as well. This isn't the only makita grinder i've had problems with. Bought genuine makita field and brushes.

Of coarse this is a lot to do with the grinding pad i was using for the job.
Wish i would have bought the one with the carrying case.

I thought to rent a grinder, but than i saw this grinder the price was good enough to buy it instead of rent it.

I switched to milwauke a couple of years ago because they were lighter and a little more ergonomicbut i wore them out within 6 monthsa

I only saw some videos on youtube and knew what i had to do basically my basement floor had many cement spills from a crappy job done in one wall to try to make the floor even i had to some how remove those chunks of cement i tryed every tool i had at home but it was really slow process
