It can be very easily taken off so you could use it as a portable charger like i do since i felt the case makes iphone 6 more like a iphone 6 plus

There is a small flexible tongue of plastic underneath a larger button to turn the phone onoff

Unfortunately the top part was offset from the bottom part and would catch on the frame of the case when i tried to turn the phone on and off which thought it ultimately did the job was annoying

I contacted the company and they were unable to exchange or replace the item because they no longer had it in stock but did offer a full and prompt refund

I will likely still use the case for long days of traveling but since i mainly got the case to use while doing archival research and using a scanner app on my phone decided to use the refund to purchase a separate battery pack that allows me to keep my phone in a plain case

Update 6416 after a few months of use the case still charges although the top sometimes pops up on one side

Would just love to know how long it takes to charge the case when it is completely dead
