Pros

The lcd screen for temp control is great and easy to read. Just in case i use a temperature controller that would shut the heater off in case of malfunction. Purchased the hygger 800w heater for my 120 gallon discus tank.

Cons

The warranty is only for 12 months. They last about a year during that time they build up a crust on the heating unit. Worked great for about 6 months then was having fluctuations in temperature and then stopped working all together.

High heat heater is unsafe for my turtles to touch. Save your money and get a glass-tube or stainless-steel tube with a plastic protection shield. Would not heat after that.

I received the hygger 500w aquarium heater in january, 2021 and it worked perfectly until today.

I noticed my old heater died on me one morning it was about a 4yr old hygger product.
