This works pretty well for the beach and my daughter has enjoyed some of her first both good and bad moments of sea water.
It has a little baffle or flap that goes all the way around the plastic that would hold a little bit of water.
The plastic is thick, but i would clear any sticks, rocks or sea shells you can find before using this.
