The satin fabric reduces friction to your hair, ensuring that ponytails won't snap. My hair is decently long and thick and they held pretty good. Normally i do two loops with the scrunchie when i do my buns and it holds.
Cons
Some of the scrunchies have literally no elastic in them. They are thin and flat and don't retain their fullness once out of the bag. Very deceitful product. Je suis un peu déçu, je m’attendais à mieux.
