Pros

Feels very cheaply made - but it works. A little grainy but not bad for the price. A few artifacts (thin stray lines in the image), but these do not reduce its usefullness.

Several leds illuminate the object well. The instructions lack clarity, but you figure out things as you play. Here are a couple of hints though. The center light is plenty.

Solid hardware, well machined with no shortcuts — it feels overbuilt.

The lens is high quality and i am very pleased with my project.

I was able to look at pads on the bottom of my cpu and see why it stopped working.

With the available coupons, you can get one for $104 which is hard to beat.

This microscope is a great value for the price.

I also thought that for the price this would have come with the memory card it needs.

Compere to my previous experience:• the microscope came nicely packed & with sd card.

The instructions included in the box were semi-useless.

Competitiveness

My big-time biologist grandfather says it performs better than the traditional dissecting microscopes used in research labs.

Unlike other scopes i reviewed in this price range, none of them had twistable illumination.

I am using a mac, but there are similarly complaints about the included software.
