Don't believe the other side loosens. The knob that moves the electronics up & down has a lot of play in it so sensitive adjustments are difficult.
The autobrightness of the camera makes teh image very dark. If you put a white sheet of paper under it the paper shows up as not white but grey.

I suppose the claim of 2000x is not strictly speaking an exaggeration because if you were to hook the thing up to a 60 screen you could make a 0

I was able to see the serial number on my wifes diamond and got some great photos of a tiny jumping house spider but thats about as small as you can see with it
