Other than this aspect, i love this product!
Awesome quality and really happy with it.
Definitely do not look directly in to the l.
There are not really any instructions in the box, mostly just warnings of how not to use the product.

Packaging/appearance
It looks good, the packaging is fine and i am very excited for it to be opened and used, but the date is not until the 7th of may!
The packaging is pretty ugly on both models so i would probably be embarrassed to give this as a gift without changing the box it came in.
Competitiveness
It also has a speaker to connect your auxilary cord and listen to music.
Going to be getting another one for my 1yr old.
It covers my 12x12 ceiling in ocean like waves of color.

I have not tried the battery mode on it but i think that would be the best way to use this item otherwise it is limited to where you can use it because it would need to be near an outlet while the ideal place for the device would be in the center of any room

If you have to use the very small cord then the light show will be half on your wall and half on the ceiling

The instructions are in chinese so figuring out how things work you are pretty much on your own

The blue model says it is waterproof but i wouldnt test that if i were you

The color model has several different color and display presets which can be accessed by clicking and cycling through the power button
