Must trim about 1/2 inch of the rubber from end of cable so it will go all the way into the cable-end.

Secondly, i only wish they were made in the usa.

Found this item thru a youtube video, simple to install and way cheaper than replacing cable/latch assy.

Some utube videos suggest using sandpaper on outer cable shield.

This was on a 2005 ford f-350 with extended cab.
