The separate indash tray is optional but i didnt use it because i wanted the radio flush to the dash anyway and could never use that tray

Im not using either one of the acrylic screen protectors i suspect that will slightly hinder the feel of the screen just as it does on a cell phone

I was skeptical seeing the reviews here talking about the unit disconnecting from the media player source when using the usb connection

I will say that i did experience this initially and for a few minutes i was really questioning the purchase

But i realized after just 1 trip around town well especially after another trip the next day when i changed the usb source again i realized that what is happening is that when you first boot the unit with a new usb source or replug one in it will have to go through some minutes of caching the song data

I switched to an ipod and it played 8 seconds then switched to no source or maybe the radio so i changed it back to the ipod and then it played for less than a minute and switched again
