If you receive the stamps without blocks the lid of an ink pad will work as a substitute providing it is large enough

Mine became stained with dye even though i cleaned the ink off them immediately

Its the blocks which were the biggest problem

You need to remove the paper backing before using them but its been scored by the grid lines and is a major pain to remove one square at a time
