Pros & Cons
Pros
Face * and d-pad are excellent and have a less-resistant press than the series x controller. The only downside to them is the analog sticks, they start drifting after a few months of use, the problem solely stims from pressing them. Love the ps style ... Read More
It's a premium, satisfying controller to use, and it's responsive as heck. Since that gadget was quality, i expect this controller will be as well. Precision is at its best with this controller.
Quality is good, and it doesn't feel tiring to hold for a long time. It's built tough and feels good in the hands. Very durable. That's nitpicking at this point.
Cons
Left analog stick registers glitchy input as releasing the stick, so my character stops running when i don't want them to. Stick drift nullifies everything since it renders the controller useless. Cable manufacturer is completely wrecking the product.... Read More
The fight pad is really big and bulky. The * aren't equally distanced between each other. The palm grips are way too small making the controller very uncomfortable.
Highlights
Quality
The spacing, weight, vibration, and layout perfectly mimics the ps4 controller.
This controller works great, the 2 back buttons work awesome i use them in every game, and the software is super cool and works well.
After a month of use playing mk1, the right bumper button gets stuck.
Going on about a year and half, still no stick drift and all buttons are clicking like new.
Price
Hell even throw some hall effect tiggers and tactile buttons into the mix, i know all those things would probably boost up the cost.
For its price, it is worth it hundred times over.
Competitiveness
This controller is far better than my playstation or xbox controllers.
The only thing i wish it had was wireless connectivity, but i am sure that is more of an issue with microsoft than 8bitdo.
The layout is the same symmetrical layout as the playstation controller, which in my opinion is a better layout than the xbox layout.
Def will take some time to adjust to this type of controller coming from an xbox style off brand.
