Pros & Cons
Pros
It's great for that. That is what you can safely expect. Now, there is one caveat that someone like myself wasn't expecting. Using with my mister and switch works very well.
The controller is a great investment for anyone who has the pce mini or the turbografx 16 mini. It has turbo * instead of the turbo sliders of the original controller. My only critique of the controller is that it should have turbo slider instead of *... Read More
It is quite responsive and has a spiffy button dedicated for the menu/home screen. Responsive and aesthetically pleasing.
Are just the perfect amount of click. Circular dpad registers inputs satisfyingly well. Better d pad then the their newest nes one as well.
Matches my core mini beautifully. Thirdly the build quality is very good. The build quality, the lack of latency (not measured, but just feel), i am always happy with their products.
Cons
This controller seems to have connection dropouts. It lacks the turbo sliders of the original controllers. Even the slightest downwards pressure on the d-pad will register as a diagonal.
This controller isn't so great. That's what makes this controller so disappointing. The directional pad and * are not as crisp as original and are a bit off, making it hard to control.
Highlights
Quality
Not a bad wireless gamepad, decently solid quality and my computer detected it instantly.
The buttons are responsive and the d-pad is good for all your shooter needs.
So thick, that you wouldn't be able to plug 5 of them in a pc-engine mini multitap.
The usb receiver makes it dead easy to connect and the connection is rock solid and i've noticed no lag.
Competitiveness
I've posted a picture of of compared to a duo-r, core grafx and turbo grafx-16 controller for comparison.
