Every button works and it’s very ergonomic. This one is absolutely no exception. This is not major but i didn’t realize it prior.

The right trigger gets stuck making the controller useless. Very finicky.

It connected instantly and worked great right out of the box.
The controller has two mappable buttons on the back that the user can program using the 8bitdo ultimate app.
I then remembered it said something about a firmware update program, downloaded the updater from the 8bitdo website and updated to 1.

It fits the existing xbox controller style well but with their own 8bitdo tweaks.
My future concern is that i've had a few 8bitdo controllers at this point that just stopped working or had various issues over time.

Im not going to name the brands but there are two other fairly big 3rd party controller makers out there whose names both start with 34p34 and they always start off feeling okay at best and getting much worse really quick with some having sticky buttons stick drift or stopping functioning altogether within just a couple of months

If you dont want to pay for a first party controller or in this case want a controller that is much more customizable for less than a ms one this is perfect for you

Being wired you dont need to worry about battery life and if you didnt tell someone they would never guess it was a third party controller

This is my first controller with the extra buttons on the back so i had to adjust how i hold things so i wouldnt accidentally hit them but they dont do anything if you dont install the software which has really poor reviews in the windows store but they seem to mostly be from people who didnt have this brand of controller

Not my first 8bitdo controller so i expected it to be solid and it didnt disappoint until ive had it for a year or so i wont be able to determine if its got the same problem with the button rubbers on their sn30 pro controllers specifically the buttons wear out after about a year and youve got to open it up and replace the rubber bits but the controller itself feels very solid it has a nice weight to it good feeling on the grips buttons work well analog sticks both work well dpad is fine though this controller is probably not one that id use for dpad heavy games just because its xbox style and id rather use a snes style controller for dpad type games

There are a ton of aftermarket controllers for sale now far more than there used to be and its hard to determine which are decent quality and which are rushed to market garbage
